Website managers or administrators are responsible for ensuring that their organisation’s website contains the right information and that the site can be found and used by the public. A website manager might do a number of things, including:
organising and labelling the information on the website
creating and updating webpages
analysing website user statistics and providing reports
developing and enforcing the website design
making the website as easy as possible to navigate
providing user support
A website manager or administrator can work directly for an organisation solely on one site (or a group of sites) or may be a consultant that works under contract for many organisations.
You can read more about what a website manager does at the Web professional site, at My Future or you can watch the video about an independent web design company.
