Website Manager

Website managers or administrators are responsible for ensuring that their organisation’s website contains the right information and that the site can be found and used by the public. A website manager might do a number of things, including:

  • organising and labelling the information on the website
  • creating and updating webpages
  • analysing website user statistics and providing reports
  • developing and enforcing the website design
  • making the website as easy as possible to navigate
  • providing user support

A website manager or administrator can work directly for an organisation solely on one site (or a group of sites) or may be a consultant that works under contract for many organisations.

You can read more about what a website manager does at the Web professional site, at My Future or you can watch the video about an independent web design company.
